Cartes Series. Daily pictorial protocol.
30 fragments — Acrylic and mixed media on canvas (29 x 29 cm).
Comprehensive installation documented on-site at the studio.
THE PROTOCOL
1 – A unique format: 29x29cm
2 – One painting per day,
3 – A single color to be poured (Green),
4 – The obligation to name the artwork at the end of the day in a foreign language.
THIRD CYCLE — FORMALDEHYDE
As a background color, the clinical green operates in concert with the geometric structure to distance the figures, which become more defined and settle into the square. Through the reduction in the number of fragments, the whole balances itself out thanks to the appearance of internal spaces within the modules. The shapes no longer slide at random: they germinate and organize themselves into scenes within a setting that colonizes the background. The combination reaction becomes a sap that drives the gesture to invent its own nature, within the limits imposed by the structure. A map of time redrawing space.
