CARTE 4 — RED

Cartes Series. Daily pictorial protocol.
25 fragments — Acrylic and mixed media on canvas (29 x 29 cm).
Comprehensive installation documented on-site at the studio.
THE PROTOCOL
1 – A unique format: 29x29cm
2 – One painting per day,
3 – Une seule couleur à déverser (Rouge),
4 – The obligation to name the artwork at the end of the day in a foreign language.
FOURTH CYCLE: « QUARANTAINE EN FRANCE »
The outside world freezes in the global health crisis and strikes the device's isolation. The figure has hacked the experiment, capturing the final twitches of daily urgency.
Upon twenty-five fragments clothed in red, a few chromatic remnants from the previous cycle still persist. The strict rules of the device are breached and traversed by history: the figure dictates the whole.
The cartes now cover every wall. The device concludes at the physical limit of the studio to give way to a new creative protocol.
