ANCHORING

Far from the isolation of the 'white cube' of my former apartment, I draw my resources from the outside, within this new reality that constitutes my setting.
Inherited from the last creative protocol, I exploit sampling by diversifying the collection methods. It is no longer solely about relocating manipulated objects; the process also involves a puncture of material, texture, and extracts of landscape atmospheres that I clinically catalog in a Notebook (Carnet).

The Carnet classifies a portion of the essentials with which I compose for the shaping of a painting that would amount to a discovery.

Directly inspired by the aesthetics of anatomical wax models, I operate, detach, associate, invert, and hybridize shapes and underlying ideas to produce a motionless central figure, destined for observation.

Still in an attempt to marry opposites, I mass-produce backgrounds with the samplings as my only memory. The vaporous projection with a construction-site spray gun then forms the comfort of a powdery setting upon which my discovery rests.
